Mahmoud Nady

Nady is a visiting researcher. He has a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences and has worked for the Ministry of Environment in Egypt. Currently he is working as an Assistant Lecturer in Beni-Suef Univeristy, Egypt. He obtained his master’s degree (International Master’s in Applied Ecology) from Kiel University in Germany. His research focuses on the demand side of Ecosystem Services (ES). During his master’s project he worked in the Joint Research Center (JRC, EU) and he offered a framework to quantify and map ES demand at EU scale. He is currently studying the ES gaps across space and time at European and global scale using Agent Based Models. In particular, he is using the CRAFTY model to create future scenarios of changes in demand for some ES such as carbon sequestration, timber and recreation at large scales.
